China, The Best of Both Worlds Terms and Conditions
  1. Information on how to enter the competition forms part of the conditions of entry. Entry into the competition is deemed as acceptance of its terms and conditions.
  2. Entry is only open to New Zealand residents aged 18 years or over (“Eligible Participants”).
  3. Conditions of Entry:
    How to Enter: Entry into the China, The Best of Both Worlds competition requires an Eligible Participant to collect a minimum of three Koru Stamps, and a maximum of ten Koru Stamps through the promotional website – airnewzealand.co.nz/china, during the period commencing 8.00am 10 October 2011 until 5.00pm 31 October 2011 (the “Promotional Period”). Entry into the competition is automatic upon the completion of the entry form and collection of a minimum of three Koru Stamps. Provided that the Eligible Participant collects a minimum of three Koru Stamps the Eligible Participant will receive (1) entry into the competition for each Koru Stamp collected. A maximum of ten Koru Stamps may be collected, providing all conditions of entry are met.
  4. Air New Zealand (the “Promoter”) its employees and their immediate families, participating agents and their associated agencies are ineligible to enter. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries.
  5. Entries received outside the Promotional Period will be ineligible for entry.
  6. The winners will be randomly drawn from one prize pool on 31 October 2011. Attempts will be made to notify the winner by phone at the contact telephone number provided on the competition entry. If the Promoter, having used reasonable efforts, is unable to contact the winner prior to 5.00pm 10 November 2011, then the prize is forfeited and a further draw will be conducted. The judge’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  7. The first five valid entries drawn will win the prize of return Economy Class airfares for two to China (travel into Beijing and out of Shanghai) from any of Air New Zealand’s 27 domestic destinations; 4 nights accommodation in Beijing in a four-star equivalent hotel and 2 nights accommodation in Shanghai in a four-star equivalent hotel, in each case on a twin share basis, a domestic economy class flight between Beijing and Shanghai, and selected sightseeing activities, including excursions to the Great Wall and the Ming Tombs, the Forbidden City, Summer Palace, and The Bund The winner and the winner’s companion are each responsible for paying all additional costs associated with the prize that are not specifically included (as stated in this clause), including (where applicable) Chinese visa costs, airport transfers, transport, meal costs, spending money, insurance and all other incidentals.
  8. Prize must be taken by 30 June 2012 and is subject to booking and flight availability.Travel is not permitted between 01 December 2011 and 31 January 2012. The prize travel period cannot be extended beyond 30 June 2012.
  9. The prize cannot be converted into cash, and cannot be transferred to another person.
  10. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in prize value.
  11. The Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize in whole (or any of its components), with a substitute prize of equal or greater value.
  12. All prize travel will be subject to Air New Zealand’s General Terms and Conditions of carriage, to view visit www.airnz.co.nz/general_tc.htm. Airpoints™ cannot be accrued on prize air travel.
  13. The Promoter assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to or alteration of entries. The Promoter assumes no responsibility for any injury or damage to participants or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from participation in or down-loading any materials in this competition.
  14. Neither the Promoter nor any other person or party associated with this competition shall be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with either participation in this competition or with any prizes offered.
  15. The Promoter collects entrants’ personal information in order to conduct the competition. If the information requested is not provided, the entrant may not participate in the competition. Acceptance of the prize is deemed consent for the Promoter to use the winner’s details and photographs for promotional and media purposes without any further reference, payment or other compensation to the entrant. Please refer to Air New Zealand’s Privacy Policy at www.airnz.co.nz/privacy_policy.htm regarding the storage of personal information.
